What is the Common Farm Flowers Club?
Here we share more information about joining our club, and the benefits of becoming a paid subscriber on our Substack.
Did you know we have a Common Farm Flowers Club, which we host here on Substack? We thought it was time we shared more detail about what being in the Club means and what the benefits are to joining. (Of course, if you want to stay as a free subscriber there are plenty of benefits to that too, but we thought more detail about the club might be helpful).
Who is the club for?
The club is open to anyone, whether you grow flowers, shrubs and perennials for profit or whether you are growing flowers for pleasure. You might not fit into either of those categories - but simply be interested in how we run our business, or in joining in our chat. There are many different people here, from all around the world and everyone is welcome. Some weeks our Live Q&A sessions might have a very flower farm kind of focus, other weeks they will suit anyone who is interested in learning more about sowing and growing flowers. Some weeks they’ll be well suited to anyone running a small business - and once a term we have a session talking about books we’ve read, as well as a chat making sure we’re all looking after our physical and mental health.
What is the commitment to the club?
Membership of the club can be paid monthly or annually, entirely up to you, but we’ve set the cost of joining at a point that we hope it’s something many of you can enjoy. You can un-join at any time, of course.
By joining the club, you will get:
An exclusive club discount
Enjoy 10% members discounts on our workshops, demos and other products available on our website.
Members-only live Q&A sessions
Members can join regular Live At Five sessions, which are hosted on Substack most weeks in term time (so around 30 sessions a year). Topics are suggested by club members and each week I invite all clubbers to send in any questions on the topic, which I answer during the live chat. There’s plenty of lively (text) discussion during, and we share the recorded live session afterwards, with a summary of useful tips from the chat for those of you who can’t join live.
Exclusive behind the scenes videos
Members only videos of life on our flower farm in Somerset, as well as sharing of more detailed information about running the flower farm.
Clubbers chat group
Here you can join in with the Chat as and when you fancy! This is a place where all clubbers are welcome to share news, views and ask questions - without me needing to always be there to host or support. But I do pop in with occasional recipes, thoughts and questions too!
More news, in different formats
We’ll share regular members only updates on Substack, which you can read or listen to as a podcast (very excited about this aspect and know lots of clubbers are already making the most of being able to listen, as well as to read, our updates.)
Fancy joining us?
If you want to join the club you simply need to opt in to be a paid subscriber here on Substack. We’d love to have you!
And, of course, if you decide not to join the club, you will still get lots of free content - updates about what’s happening at the farm, video clips, newsletters and so on. And you are still very welcome here!
If you’ve any questions about the club or Substack in general do let us know - and we’ll be happy to help.
Georgie x
Hi Georgie in response to your article ‘What is the Common Farm Flowers Club’ I thought I’d drop a few lines here, although I’m not particularly good at writing or putting thoughts into words I would like to say I think the club is fabulous. The wealth of knowledge you share with us all from complete novices to those very experienced. Always well explained plenty of humour and definitely a most friendly bunch of like minded people from around the world. A very big thank you Georgie (your family) Nicola and of course the clubbers. Wishing you and the club many years of success and happiness. 🌼🌸
I love being a "Clubber." I've followed Georgie before the Club. I have learned & continue to learn so much from her. Her films are always so inspiring, informative & uplifting. The "live" sessions are brilliant. Great discussions with an amazing & really lovely bunch of people from all over the world.
