June tour of the flower farm

with extra tips and tricks for you Clubbers x

It is the end of June. We are half way through the season. A moment of pure abundance and perfection in the fields here at Common Farm Flowers between fashionable Bruton and up-and-coming Wincanton. While the helicopters buzz back and forth like giant hornets ferrying the great and the good to and from Glastonbury festival, here, we worker ants continue our labour: sowing seeds, pricking out, potting on, prepping beds, planting out, pinching out and harvesting the work we’ve put in here over the past spring, winter, last summer, and even back through the twenty years we’ve lived here. This is abundant abundance. Here I can cut as much as I like of whatever I like without an eye to tomorrow or next week. We are at peak flower production and there’s all the plenty. So enjoy a little walk about and the extra tips and a little exhortation for you flower farmers among the clubbers.

This clip without the club members extras will be live on YouTube this eve for everybody to enjoy.

Have a lovely day all. I’m off to cut twenty buckets for a ball.
