How to Ask Better Questions

A Conversation with Daisy McAndrew who has been interviewing and being interviewed throughout her long career.
4

Daisy McAndrew is a well-known TV pundit, Royal Correspondent for NBC, dynamic speaker, and seasoned conference MC with more than three decades of experience in both asking the big questions, and answering them. As the former Chief Political Correspondent and Economics Editor for ITV News, she’s reported on everything from the corridors of Westminster to the grand stages of royal history, bringing insight and clarity to some of the world’s most memorable moments.

As I prepare to welcome more guests onto my live chats for the Common Farm Flowers Club, I’ve been gathering inspiration and advice on how to get the best out of these conversations.

I’ve wanted to pick Daisy’s brain about her approach to interviews for ages. By chance we both find ourselves on holiday in the same beautiful corner of the Languedoc, and I couldn’t resist the opportunity to enjoy a relaxed chat on a shady terrace, accompanied by a chorus of cicadas.

So, settle in and enjoy our conversation - where we not only dive into the art of the interview but also swap notes on holiday reading.

Enjoy!
