Coming up this week
Spring propagating and a living spring wreath demos
This week:
Tuesday 24th March The Spring Propagating Plants Demo online
In this practical online demo, Georgie will guide you through the secrets of propagation so you can multiply your plants with confidence. You’ll learn the differences between various types of cuttings and how to take them, the perfect timing for propagating so your plants thrive, top tips on compost, watering, potting on, and planting out and how to create a flourishing garden full of free plants.
Thursday 26th March Club Live The Living Spring Wreath Demo
This week Georgie will demo how you can make a gorgeous living spring wreath. Now is the perfect time to get creative - and you can then hang your wreath on a door or keep it as a table centrepiece and watch it grow over the days and weeks after you’ve created it. (This is a free demo for paid Substack subscribers).
Club Live Chats will return after the Easter holidays on Thursday 23rd April.
April demos:
After a break for Easter, our online demos return and it’s finally time for the sustainable floristry sessions to begin, as by April the farm will be bursting with flowers and foliage for Georgie to use!

Monday 27th April The Prepping Wedding Flowers Demo
Tuesday 28th April The Bridal Party Flowers Demo

Lifestyle business retreat - waiting list
We had a fabulous first ever 3 day Lifestyle Business Retreat at the farm in Somerset last week, delivered by Georgie, Francesca McGarey and Alice Armstrong Scales.
It was so fantastic we will most certainly be offering it again. We need to work out dates and a venue, but if you’re interested in being the first to know when we do, please email nicola@commonfarmflowers.com as we’ve already started a waiting list!
Find out more about the retreat here.
New book coming soon!
Here’s your regular reminder to pre-order the new book written by Georgie, The Flower Farmer’s Year: Growing Flowers for Pleasure and Profit. The book will be released during Chelsea week in May - so not very long to wait now!
Georgie first published The Flower Farmer’s Year in 2014, but has COMPLETELY overhauled it for this new edition. More on why it needed the rewrite here and you can watch a video of Georgie explaining how the book cover came to be here.
You can pre-order a copy from the publishers here (currently cheapest UK price) or please order via your local independent book store, if you have one (ISBN 9781399418744). Obviously, it’s also available from a major online retailer too!
Thank you to everyone who has already pre-ordered!
